National Weatherperson’s Day

Today, February 5th is National Weatherperson’s Day. They picked this day because it was the birthday of John Jeffries  one of the first weather forecasters USA during the late 1700’s (facts from the NOAA government website listed below).

It seems no mater where I live in the USA the weather people are important! When I lived in Florida, every hurricane or possible hurricane I tuned in to the TV to watch weather alerts and updates!  Now that I live in Ohio I am checking in or all these winter storms.  I wonder if there is any place that isn’t affected or concerned with some form of weather issues?

I already have the girls daily mail picked out to be related with todays “holiday”.
