Happy Veteran’s Day: Letters from the White House

This photo was taken the other weekend when I was going through some of my grand-mothers old paperwork.  Both envelopes are from the White House . The first was addressed to her and the other her mom. They were concerning my grand-fathers and great grand fathers time in the military. One stamp is valued at 4 cents and the other 24 cents. I can’t even remember putting a stamp of that value on anything going into the mail!

Its pretty neat to find that and so much more. Even my father served several tours in Vietnam. So there really are a ton of military people in my family.

No matter how much I dislike the idea of War. I will always respect and admire the men and women who put their lives on the line and serve our great country.
