Evaluate Your Life Day

October 19th is Evaluate Your Life Day!

Are you happy doing what you are doing? Do you enjoy being you? If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be? Today is a great day to sit down and think about all the things you do or don’t do. Do you have to do it? Should you do it?

Take some time to breath!

You only have one life to live; you should make it count. Do things that bring you joy and satisfaction.

One show I really enjoyed watching with my family is “highway to heaven”. One particular episode comes to mind when it comes to evaluating life choices. In it a ” bum” spent all his time helping people, from kids dying of terminal illness’s to adults battling addiction. Characters in the show commented on his bad choices because the “bum never made anything of himself”. Nevertheless the ” bum” made so many strong life changing contributions for others that money couldn’t buy.

Its definitely a self reflecting TV series worth checking out (at the time of writing this all seasons are available on netflex).

Things to consider doing today:

1. Think about your current life and if you are enjoying it. Consider any changes to make yourself happy with who you are and what you do.

2. Talk to your children about living good lives. Ask them for their ideas on what is a meaningful life? What makes them happy? Remember kids are only kids once, its super important that they have time to just be a kid and play, have fun, and enjoy quality time with friends and family.

3. Plan goals for the family! Is there anything the family would like to accomplish together? Train for a marathon for a real good cause that means something to the family?

4. Want ideas for a family movie night for evaluating your life?

I love going on walks in the evening or afternoon with my girls. It gives us time to just relax and enjoy the scenery. Its also a wonderful time to talk about things of importance to us all. The above picture was taken during a walk…
